What counts as an over-dimension consignment
An ODC is any cargo that exceeds the standard legal dimensions or weight limits for road movement. In practice this includes items like large transformers, boilers, pressure vessels, turbine components, cranes, structural sections, silos and heavy machinery. Because these loads exceed normal limits, they cannot simply be booked onto a regular truck — they demand purpose-built trailers, careful load engineering and legal permissions to travel.
